WARREN, Ohio - A city-owned building in Warren was forced to close Friday morning after it took on a considerable amount of smoke inside.

Workers at the Gibson building were sent home for the day after smoke filled parts of the building.

The city said the smoke was caused by an issue with one of the elevator motors.

The Gibson building is home to the Income Tax Office, Health and Community Development and the Social Security Administration.

All offices will reopen on Tuesday following Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday.
