WARREN, Ohio - A Warren woman charged in connection with wounding of child has been placed on probation for two years.

That was the sentence handed down Tuesday by Judge Andrew Logan to Yolanda Adair who appeared in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Adair, 35, pleaded guilty last year to a misdemeanor charge of child endangering, reduced from a felony child endangering charge handed up in an indictment.

According to the indictment, Adair created a "substantial risk to the health or safety of [her] child by violating a duty of care, protection or support," and the violation resulted in "serious physical harm" to her child.

The indictment stems from an incident in April of 2022 in which a 12-year-old boy was shot on Martin Drive in Warren.
