WARREN, Ohio - Old Avalon Golf Course is asking the city of Warren for funding to make improvements on the golf course.

Old Avalon PGA Director and operator Scott Karabin said that the two most important repairs would need to be made to the irrigation system and the golf cart passages. The maintenance shed and parking lots need improvements as well.

Karabin says that since the city owns the golf course, it is their responsibility to help with the repairs.

During a Warren Parks and Recreation meeting, Karabin will present the issues to the council, and ask for over $200,000 for the updates.

Council will then discuss the issues, and decide at a later date whether they will allot the money to Old Avalon.

Funding for the repairs will come through ARP money.

Kinsman House will also be addressing the council for funding as well.
