Last suspect in Rowan Sweeney murder arrested after near two-year long search

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - After a nearly two-year long search, the suspect in the death of Rowan Sweeney has been arrested.
According to a news release from the U.S. Marshals, 22-year-old Andre McCoy has been wanted by U.S. Marshals since March of 2021 when he was indicted on charges of aggravated murder, attempted murder, felonious assault and aggravated burglary, all with firearm specifications.
McCoy was found and arrested early Saturday morning at a home on the 1100 Block of Parkhill Drive in Youngstown.
"Our task force never stopped looking for justice for Rowan Sweeney. Today that justice in the form of the last suspect arrested for the violent, tragic and needless death of a little boy," said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott.
4-year-old Rowan Sweeney was killed in September of 2020 when McCoy and two other suspects were allegedly part of a home robbery at the home of Sweeney's mother in Struthers.
One suspect, Kimonie Bryant surrendered himself to law enforcement and another, Brandon Crump was found by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force a month later.
McCoy has been booked in the Mahoning County Jail on three counts of Aggravated Murder, four counts of Felonious Assault, one count of Aggravated Burglary, one count of Tampering with Evidence, one count of Conspiracy and numerous other charges.
