A Sebring man is free on bond after police say they found child pornography in his home.

56-year-old Scott Augustein was arraigned in court Thursday, facing 10 charges related to that police discovery.

The charges stem from a tip sent to Sebring Police on August 12th of 2022 from the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The tip included that there was possible activity involving child pornography at Augustein's North 19th Street home.

According to a press release, the images provided by the task force were reviewed by Sebring detectives and were found to be exposed girls between the ages of 11 and 13.

After a search of the home in late August, Sebring Police confiscated an HP computer, memory cards, five phones, two tablets and memory cards. Police then turned the electronics over to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation for further review.

After reviewing the report from BCI, Sebring Police issued a warrant for Augustein.

He was arrested and booked into Mahoning County Jail on January 27th, charged with nine counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and 1 count of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.

Augustein's bond was set at $25,000, 10% cash/surety. His charges were bound over to a Mahoning County grand jury.
