A Boardman home improvement contractor pleaded not guilty to new charges accusing him of cheating a customer out of hundreds of dollars.
John Bartos, 40, appeared for video arraignment in Warren Municipal Court on Monday to answer one felony count of theft.
Vienna Township Police filed the charge after a Ridge Road homeowner complained that he paid Bartos’ Gridiron construction company $7,100 up front to install two doors and 16 windows.
The homeowner claims Bartos never returned after installing one door and didn’t refund the balance of the payment.
Bartos, who is scheduled to be back in Warren Municipal court on February 22, faces similar charges filed by police departments in three counties.
