A 19-year-old Cortland man has been sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted in a child pornography case.

Logan Bettcher was sentenced this week in Trumbull County Common Pleas court after pleading guilty earlier to eight charges including illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material and pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.

Bettcher was originally charged with 18 counts of possessing multiple sexually explicit photos and videos of nude children - ranging in age from two to six years old, according to the indictment.

According to the indictment, Bettcher allegedly had explicit images and videos of young children.

Betcher has been in the Trumbull County Jail since his arrest in late July.
