Several agencies and politicians are looking into the train derailment in East Palestine shortly after 9 p.m. Friday night.

According to NBC News, the Environmental Protection Agency is monitoring air quality in the area. No issues have been found so far.

The National Transportation Safety Board is launching a Go Team to investigate the crash. Go Teams are groups of technical experts who solve complex transportation safety problems, according to the NTSB's website.

Senator J. D. Vance spoke out on Twitter, saying "My team is monitoring this situation. Still a lot we don’t know, but for now please pray for everyone’s safety."

And Congressman Bill Johnson said on Twitter, "I’m continuing to monitor and gather details regarding the tragic train derailment in East Palestine late last evening. I’m very thankful for the quick actions of the local officials and first responders who sprung into action."
