YOUNGSTOWN -  A Cortland man arrested on a secret indictment alleging that he raped several boys awaits sentencing after pleading guilty to some of the charges against him

Donavin Chipps, 26, had been scheduled to go on trial Monday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on four counts of rape, two counts of gross sexual imposition, and one count of unlawful sexual contact with a minor.

Instead, Chipps pleaded guilty to rape, sexual battery, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and two counts of gross sexual imposition.

Investigators say the three alleged victims ranged in age from 6 to 14 years old when incidents took place between March 2014 and July 2015.

A sentencing date will be scheduled for Chipps following completion of a pre-sentencing investigation.
