Former Ohio State QB in Mahoning Valley partnering with McDonalds

Former NFL and Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller was in the Mahoning Valley Tuesday to partner with McDonalds in a fundraiser for the Braxton Miller Foundation.
"Yeah, it's a great opportunity to partner with Mahoning Valley operators in the local area in Youngstown and give back to the local communities and surrounding areas," Miller said.
"We met Braxton back about a half a year ago and we started learning about his foundation and we are just super excited to be able to help raise some money and possibly get his program here in the Youngstown area," Eric Knoth, Owner/Operator of McDonalds said.
We caught up with Miller at the YSU McDonalds. He said being back in a McDonald's was like old times.
"Man, I used to live on McDonalds, get like 5 McChickens, plain with ketchup and a large fry and a sprite, it smells like I ain't never left," Miller said.
15% of sales from 4 to 7 p.m. were donated to his foundation so he can launch programming here in the Mahoning Valley. Miller says he established the foundation to help empower youth through sports, STEM and mentoring.
"You know growing up it was kind of difficult for us to understand the process to be successful and have mentors to lead the way and so I didn't really have that growing up so I really want to be that person for the community and give everything I have and give back to help the kids be what they want to be when they grow up," Miller said.
