EAST PALESTINE, Ohio - A new report indicates that no contaminants have been found in raw water from the five wells that feed into East Palestine's municipal water system.

According to the latest test results from the Ohio EPA, treated water from all five wells showed no sign of contaminants associated with the recent train derailment.

Ohio EPA officials say with these test results, they are confident that municipal water is safe to drink.

Residents who get their water from private wells are still advised to call 330-849-3919 to schedule free water testing for your well before consuming any well water.

In the meantime, residents who consume water from private wells are encouraged to drink bottled water until they are confident it is safe to drink.
