For some kind-hearted souls, no trip is too long to help the people of East Palestine cope as they recover from the train derailment, chemical spill, and fire.

Take for instance the men and women of the Fort Worth, Texas Police Department, as the eyes of Texas were upon the Valley this week.

The Texans teamed up with non-profits Midwest Food Bank and Fort Worth Metro bring a truckload of bottled water on a 1,200 mile journey to the impacted area.

According to the Salem Salvation Army, members of the Salem Police Department helped them unload the water which was distributed to those people concerned about their home’s water following the spill.
