Traficant Jr. was fingerprinted 40 years ago by Youngstown Patrolman James Rounds when he was being checked into the Youngstown City Jail. Traficant was sentenced to 100 days in jail by Common Pleas Judge Charles Bannon after Traficant refused Bannon’s order that the sheriff sign papers needed for banks to pursue property foreclosures.
1998: About 30 inmates from the Cuyahoga County Jail are being housed at the Columbiana County Jail under an arrangement CiviGenics Inc., the private company running the jail, has with Cuyahoga County.
