President Biden tweets about East Palestine train derailment

President Biden took to Twitter Tuesday evening to address the ongoing cleanup efforts in East Palestine.
Biden said he spoke with Governors Mike DeWine and Josh Shapiro, Senator Sherrod Brown, EPA Director Michael Regan and Congressman Bill Johnson Tuesday, reaffirming the commitment from the federal government to give the Village of East Palestine everything they need.
The EPA ordered Norfolk Southern to pay for the cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
Biden says his administration is working with state and local officials and were on the ground hours after the derailment.
The EPA is monitoring air and water quality and has screened more than 500 homes so far. The CDC has also deployed chemical assessment personnel and FEMA resources.
The Department of Transportation has told rail companies their pattern of resisting safety regulations must change.
