The former treasurer of a community in Mercer County has been sentenced to prison and ordered to repay the $150,000 she embezzled from the township.

A federal judge in Pittsburgh ordered former Jackson Township treasurer Linda Baun to serve 100 days in prison, followed by three years of probation.

Baun, who moved to Largo, Florida, was convicted of mail fraud after investigators say she stole at least $150,000 from the Township by making unauthorized ATM withdrawals and by charging personal purchases on Amazon to the Township's debit card over an eight year span beginning in 2011.

The FBI and Mercer County District Attorney conducted the investigation in the case.
