The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles deputy registrar locations statewide, including those in the Valley, will not be able to process any driver's license or permit transactions because of a planned nationwide network maintenance outage impacting all state motor vehicle agencies.

While you will you not be able to renew your driver's license or driver's permit, vehicle registration and other transactions will remain available.

The Ohio BMV asks that anyone looking to renew or get a driver's license do so on Monday or later.

In addition, PennDOT has announced that due to Verizon Network maintenance, it will not be able to access the PDPS, as required by law before issuing driver's license products.

This outage will last until about 12:01 p.m.

If the outage ends before the close of business on Saturday, the BMV will update customers via social media, either Facebook or Twitter.

Many services can be completed online through BMV Online Services, including printing license plate stickers, transferring a title online and more.
