The Ohio Department Jobs and Family Services reported early Wednesday that Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Electronic Benefits Transfer allotments are now available in recipients accounts.

ODJFS is saying that an issue with SNAP emergency allotments has now been resolved.

21 News received emails and calls from SNAP recipients concerned about a delay in receiving benefits.

The department reported on Tuesday that its SNAP EBT vendor was experiencing a delay in the processing of February emergency allotments.

Jobs and Family Services said it worked with the vendor to resolve the issue to make sure the emergency allotments could be distributed as quickly as possible.

Changes in federal law meant that February was the last month of emergency SNAP allotments.

The allotments were extra monthly payments were created by the federal government in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring all households received the maximum allotment for their household size.

Beginning in March, recipients will receive only their one, normal monthly payment.
