EAST PALESTINE, Ohio - Molson Coors Beverage Company is donating approximately 125,000 cans of water to assist residents affected by the recent train derailment in East Palestine.

"Clean water continues to be an immediate and long-term need in East Palestine. We are committed to helping communities in times of devastation, especially when we are part of the community," said Molson Coors Senior Manager, Michael Nordman.

Molson Coors operates a brewery in Trenton, Ohio where canned water is produced. The brewery is approximately 275 miles away from East Palestine.

The cans of water were picked up earlier this week and were delivered to Second Harvest Food Bank in Youngstown. Second Harvest Food Bank Executive Director, Mike Iberis expressed his gratitude to Molson Coors for the donation.

"This will help the residents of East Palestine and the surrounding areas affected by the train derailment as they go through the recovery process," Iberis said.

Molson Coors launched its water donation program in 2017 in partnership with Colorado-based company Ball Corporation, and have provided over 2 million cans of water to communities affected by disasters.

In addition, the city of Trenton is providing East Palestine with an additional 100 cases of bottled water.
