Community group River Valley Organizing is demanding Norfolk Southern provides relocation options for any East Palestine resident who wants it.

The Environmental Protection Agency and Norfolk Southern agreed to temporarily relocate residents within 1 mile of the derailment site while cleanup occurs, now River Valley Organizing is asking that relocation for residents isn't geographically limited.

"A 1 mile radius for relocation doesn't reflect the facts on the ground that this chemical disaster has had a far reaching impact. We need to stop letting Norfolk Southern put their profits ahead of the people of our community," said East Palestine resident and River Valley Organizing organizer Jami Cozza.

River Valley Organizing released a list of five community demands based on a community meeting that was attended by over 200 East Palestine residents.
