The Western Reserve Local School District is investigating after a teacher had allegedly made inappropriate comments in the classroom.

21 News received a tip regarding comments made by a teacher in a classroom on school grounds. We reached out to district Superintendent, Dallas Saunders who confirmed that these comments are under investigation.

"We have assigned the teacher to home out of an abundance of caution while we complete an active investigation of the allegation. Our preliminary investigation has shown at no time did the teacher threaten to harm anyone, and no one was in danger of harm," Saunders said.

According to a letter sent to the teacher, she appeared for a pre-disciplinary hearing on Monday, March 13 for the comments, which were in violation of school police regarding "sarcastic comments."

Additionally, the letter indicates that the teacher is accused of disclosing students' grades to other students, which is also a violation of school policy.

The teacher is still employed by the district.
