A building in Warren is set to be demolished in the coming days according to Warren Safety Services Director, Eddie Colbert.

Colbert tells 21 News that Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership (TNP) is handling the project and at a Wednesday press conference, TNP says the demolition is scheduled to begin "in the next few days."

Once demolition starts, Colbert says it would take about three weeks to complete.

Colbert tells 21 News this property, located at 418, Main Avenue SW in Warren near the Warren Flea and Farmers Market was originally a grocery store called Miracle Mart, and while it's sad to see the property go, it's time for something new to come to the area.

"We hate to tear things down, but this thing has ran its course, it's served its community well, and now it's time for a new property to serve this community," Colbert said.

As of now, it's unknown what this property will become, but Colbert told us Warren Mayor Doug Franklin is already being approached by developers interested in the property.
