Northeast Ohio McDonald's restaurants to host fundraiser for East Palestine derailment victims

Folks across Northeast Ohio will be able to support the victims of the East Palestine train derailment disaster just by eating at their local McDonald's.
According to a press release, all McDonald's restaurants in the Akron, Canton and Youngstown area will donate 20% of all sales made between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28 to the Brightside Project's crisis relief fund to help support the East Palestine community.
This effort was led by Columbiana County McDonald's operator, Steve Telischek. Restaurant owners and operators across Northeast Ohio are on board.
The Brightside Project has committed to helping East Palestine families through mental health resources, resources for classrooms and teachers, basic necessities, school clothes, school supplies and much more.
