A Warren man appeared on the Japanese TV show Bento Expo recently.

Chris Kanakis shared his recipe for Gyro McMuffin Bento on the show.

Kanakis is a Greek-American and wanted to show off his heritage in his recipe.

The recipe includes scrambling eggs with sharp white cheddar cheese and four slices of lamb or beef gyro meat paired with bread. On the side he makes gyro turmeric rice with shredded green beans and carrots. The recipe for the meal can be found here.

"Bento" is the Japanese word for a transportable meal served in a lunch box.
