The Cardinal Mooney High School has decided not to renew Coach Carl Pelini's contract for the 2023-2024 academic school year.

Pelini serves as the school's athletic director and head football coach.

Nicholas Beyer, the president and principal of the high school said, "The next few years are going to be transformational for Cardinal Mooney, we are excited to build on our tremendous legacy, elevate our academic offerings and student life experiences. We look forward to adding new leadership in our athletics department that will help us realize that vision."

The high school is looking to hire someone to be the next athletic director and head football coach for the 2023-2024 school year. Internal and external candidates will be considered for the position.
