CENTER TWP., Columbiana Co., Ohio - A child was treated by EMTs after breathing too much smoke when a fire broke out in his family's home just northeast of Lisbon.

The first crew from the Lisbon Fire Department arrived just before 2:30 a.m. and found flames coming through the roof of a home on the 39000 block of State Route 517, across from the Lisbon Assembly of God church.

Hanoverton, New Waterford, and West Point fire departments were also dispatched to help fight the blaze.

The family fled from the burning home, seventy percent of which was damaged according to fire officials.

In addition to losing many personal possessions, firefighters say three pets died in the blaze.

The road was closed in the area, but has since reopened.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

A GoFundMe was created by a co-worker of one of the victims to help them purchase needed items such as clothing, shoes and food, as well as help with any lodging and/or medical expenses they may face.
