WASHINGTON, D.C. - A U.S. House hearing is scheduled for Tuesday to address the environmental response to the East Palestine train disaster.

The subcommittee, which includes Valley Congressman Bill Johnson, will hear from a number of witnesses, including officials with the U.S. EPA, Ohio EPA and the Columbiana County Health Commissioner.

Johnson has said the East Palestine community deserves transparency and that they should hear from officials at ground zero on what exactly they're doing to keep everyone safe.

Among those appearing at the hearing are U.S. EPA Region 5 Regional Administrator Debra Shore, Ohio EPA Director Anne M. Vogel, and Columbiana County Health District Commissioner Wesley Vins.

The hearing is set for 10 a.m.
