A Campbell man wanted in connection to a homicide in Farrell has been arrested.

Police arrested 27-year-old Darrell Daurice Harrison Jr., who they say was involved in a disturbance just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning along Roemer Avenue in Farrell that ended in a shooting.

Officers took Harrison into custody in Seward, Nebraska around 1:56 p.m. Sunday. He's being held in the Seward County Detention Center pending extradition to Pennsylvania.

Police say Farrell officers were notified of a dead male at UPMC Farrell Hospital early Saturday with a gunshot wound.  They later determined the victim, 21-year-old Jayson Burns of Sharon, was shot during the disturbance at a bar on Roemer Avenue.

Throughout their investigation, police determined Burns was involved in a fight with three males.  Harrison then pulled a gun and shot Burns.  Several people at the scene took Burns to the hospital where he later died.

According to an affidavit, witnesses told police that Burns was being physically assaulted on the ground. Witnesses say Burns attempted to leave the scene, but Harrison fired a handgun at Burns, killing him.

Troopers with Pennsylvania State Police collected surveillance video from a nearby business which captured the attack. Police say the video shows Burns attempted to flee and the male believed to be Harrison shooting him followed by him falling to the ground.

Police say Harrison fled the scene before police arrived.

He is facing charges of murder in the first degree.
