The annual pre-vet clinic at Youngstown State University offers low cost health care for pets.

The university's Pre-Veterinary Society's Marjorie Hartman Family Foundation Pet Clinic allows students to get hands-on experience while under the supervision of licensed veterinarians.

Pets can receive rabies shots, heartworm tests, microchip placement and nail cuttings.

To receive services, pets must be on a leash or in a carrier.

Only cash payments will be accepted.

The clinic will be April 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the gymnasium at Stambaugh Stadium.
