CAMPBELL, Ohio - The City of Campbell is asking residents to refrain from requesting ambulances unless absolutely necessary.
It comes after officials were notified Saturday morning that the city's ambulance service, Medstar, would not be staffing or providing service to city residents.
City officials say they immediately began searching for an ambulance service to cover the city. In the meantime, the Campbell Fire Department will respond to all medical calls.
Public Safety Manager Michael Romeo says at this point, he does not know why this happened or how long it will last.
21 News has reached out to MedStar but has not received a response.
