Dogs, cats, child removed from Lordstown home

LORDSTOWN, Ohio - Multiple dogs and cats, as well as a small child were removed from a home in Lordstown Wednesday afternoon.
Animal Welfare League (AWL) of Trumbull County Director, Lori Shandor tells 21 News that four dogs, two cats and one small child were all removed from a home on the 1700 Block of Lyntz Townline Road .
Shandor says two other children allegedly live there too, but they were not present at the time. When asked about the condition of the home, Shandor said there was a lot of trash and debris in and around the home.
Shandor tells us the dogs were very thin and in very poor health. Despite this, she says the dogs did have access to water in the home. Shandor confirmed that there was food inside the home, but could not confirm nor deny that the dogs had access to it.
The condition of the two cats are currently being evaluated by AWL agents.
Shandor confirmed that Child Protective Services has been called for the child in the home and that charges are pending for the homeowners. It is currently unclear what the charges will be
