The Village of East Palestine is still recovering from the tragic train derailment disaster back in February. That's why the United Way of Northern Columbiana County, Norfolk Southern, Compco Industries and several others will be hosting East Palestine's "Road 2 Recovery" walk and fun run.

The event will consist of both a 5K run through residential neighborhoods on the west side of the village and a Hometown Walk along the Market Street store fronts.

Proceeds from the event will be used to advance and improve programs that offer academic, artistic, athletic and entrepreneurial opportunities for students in the village.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 10 with the 5K walk starting at 9:00 a.m., followed immediately by the Hometown Walk.

Registration is $10 for minors under 18 and $20 for those age 18 and over. The first 250 to register are guaranteed to receive a free t-shirt. To register for the run and/or walk, click here.

A map of both the 5K run and Hometown Walk routes are also pictured below.
