Ohio State Representative, Al Cutrona has announced on Monday that $1.18 million has been approved by the State Controlling Board for upcoming renovations to Youngstown State University.

The project derives from House Bill 597 from the previous General Assembly, which Cutrona supported in the Ohio House of Representatives.

The renovations will be for Moser Hall, which includes the Engineering, Physics and Geological Science departments. According to a press release, the building is heavily used on a daily basis and has not been renovated in several years.

Renovations include upgrades to the building's auditorium, as well as additional classrooms for the building. These funds would allow for the university to move forward with this construction.
