Another suspect charged in Amya Monserrat homicide case
Police have filed a warrant for the arrest of another suspect in the case of the homicide of a 15-year-old girl at a local restaurant.
An arrest warrant was issued for 20-year-old Saun Peterson for his alleged role in a shooting that killed 15-year-old Amya Monserrat on April 15.
According to a press release from YPD, Peterson is currently charged with complicity of murder.
Police say Peterson may be driving a black 2010 Mercedes E-Class E350 with an expired Ohio temporary tag reading "Q478958."
The homicide is still under investigation and police say additional charges could be pending.
Another suspect, 16-year-old Legend Pless, also known as Danyo Ryan Sellers, is being held in the Juvenile Justice Center on three counts of attempted murder and one count of murder.
Police tell 21 News additional counts of attempted murder could be added once it's determined how many people were potentially in the line of fire.
