A part of the Eastwood Mall Complex along Route 46 in Howland will likely become busier over the next few weeks.

TJX opened a HomeGoods store in the Howland Commons on Thursday.

The discount home fashion and decor retailer occupies a 22,000-square-foot space on Mines Road.

Store hours are from 8 am until 10 p.m.

The opening takes place less than a month before the new Meijer Superstore is scheduled to open nearby on May 16.   The Meijer Express Gas station is set to open on April 20.

There are plans to open Bass Pro Outpost in a 63,000-square-foot space in the same plaza.
