POLAND, Ohio - The Friends of Poland Forest are inviting folks to their Spring Wildflower Walk event.

The event will take place Saturday, April 29 starting at 1:00 p.m. at the College Street entrance to the forest. Ecologist, Kyle Filicky and his colleagues will take guests on a leisurely walking tour to discuss the various wildflowers found throughout the forest.

Flowers discussed include bluebells, trilliums, spring beauties, violets, blue cohoshes, woodland phloxes and many more.

Flowers may not be the only sights to see though. Organizers are recommending guests to bring a pair of binoculars with them as well to potentially spot some spring warblers.

The event is open to the public.
