CORTLAND, Ohio - The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of State Parks and Watercraft has invited the public to what’s being billed as a family-friendly event at Mosquito Lake State Park’s new marina building.

Although it’s already open, Monday’s 10:30 a.m. event at the new $1 million Marina and Boat Rental building will feature tours, snacks, and refreshments.

Located at 1439 Wilson Sharpsville Rd., Cortland, the facility offers boat rentals, outdoor seating, bait and tackle, convenience items, fuel, and year-round restrooms.

 Located in Trumbull County covering 7,850 acres, Mosquito Lake is one of the largest lakes in Ohio.

The surrounding parkland covers 2,483 acres of mature woodlands and marshes, providing a haven for wildlife.

Boating and fishing are two top outdoor activities here, but the park also offers hiking, horseback riding, and snowmobiling in winter.
