Ohio has approved $806,247 to fund STEM Science Lab renovations at Youngstown State University.

The project will consist of renovations to several labs at Ward Beecher Hall which houses the departments of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics and Astronomy.

Saying it’s been years since the lab space was updated, YSU officials say the project will renovate and upgrade the labs and support spaces to provide a safer, more accessible, and updated learning environment with the latest technology and equipment.

Included in this project will be upgraded to the interior finishes, electrical/lighting, classroom accessibility, classroom HVAC, technology accessibility, and laboratory working surfaces.
