The Mahoning Valley will soon have a brand-new restaurant coming to the Boardman area.

Fast-casual chain, McAlister's Deli will host a grand opening event at its very first location in the Mahoning Valley at 1090 Boardman-Poland Road near Chick-Fil-A on Monday May 15 with doors opening at 10:30 a.m.

The first 150 customers will be entitled to free tea for a whole year limited to one per week. Everyone else can treat themselves to handcrafted sandwiches, fresh salads, stuffed potatoes and much more.

Additionally, first responders, medical professionals, active military members, veterans, PTO members and truck drivers are invited to come out on Saturday, May 13 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and again from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for a free meal.

One guest will be permitted for each attendee, and attendees must show a valid badge or ID.

Folks can choose to dine in, takeout or have their food delivered. This location will offer both indoor and outdoor seating.

Southern Rock Restaurants CEO, David Blackburn says he's excited for the new location stating that the Mahoning Valley is an ideal location for the new restaurant.

"We see Youngstown as an exciting and thriving community, and after years of dedicated efforts, we have found the ideal location for our newest McAlister's," Blackburn said.
