Youngstown woman charged with traffic death of Pulaski woman

A Youngstown woman has been charged in connection with a multi-vehicle crash that killed a Pulaski woman a year and a half ago in Lawrence County.
Mahoning Township Police have charged 33-year-old Shasta Dawn Sapp with homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, endangering children, and reckless driving.
Sapp was seriously injured on August 25, 2021, in a three-car, chain-reaction crash, which claimed the life of 82-year-old Nancy Black of Pulaski.
Township Police say Black was driving a Kia Soul that was rear-ended by Sapp's Chevy Cobalt that had stopped along West State Street to allow a tractor-trailer to enter the roadway.
Black, whose car was pushed into a third car that was also stopped along the road, was taken to UPMC Jameson Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Cobalt, Shasta Sapp of Youngstown was taken to Mercy Hospital with serious injuries. Sapp’s child was also taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation.
Police say Sapp is the driver who was at fault.
The driver of the third car was not seriously injured.
