If you've always dreamed of being on the big screen, there are some upcoming opportunities right here in the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys.

Extras are needed for a TV film series pilot that is shooting scenes in Youngstown and Farrell.

The series, "Why Me?" needs up to 100 extras for a church and courtroom scene.

Actors can play church-goers, jurors, a judge, or reporters.

If you are interested in the church scene, filming will take place Saturday, May 20 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Alpha and Omega First Baptist Church in Youngstown.

If you are interested in the courtroom scene, filming will take place Saturday, May 27 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the City of Farrell's Municipal Building.

On Wednesday, an info session was held by the production company for anyone interested in Downtown Sharon at Haitian Sensation. The founder of Michael Anthony Productions along with Foreign Extreme TV is originally from Youngstown and wants to stay local.

"Coming up as a producer, director, and writer, no disrespect to anyone else, but I didn't have a mentor," said Michael Forney. "Most of my mentors were outside of this area. Spike Lee, Tyler Perry. It's very important because the next generation won't be strangers to it."

Actors will not be paid for their time, as it is volunteer-based.
