WATCH: Father of murdered teen jailed after attempting to attack suspect in courtroom

A suspect in the homicide case of 15-year-old Amya Monserrat was attacked in the Youngstown Municipal Court Wednesday afternoon.
21 News has obtained courtroom security camera video, which shows Amya's father, 37-year-old Jose Monserrat charging at the 20-year-old suspect, Saun Peterson.
Police and court employees immediately stepped in to break up the fight and clear the courtroom.
According to court records, Jose Monserrat was detained by officers with Youngstown Police, was found to be in direct contempt of court and was sentenced to 10 days in jail.
Peterson is charged with complicity to murder, and police do not believe him to be the one who pulled the trigger in the drive-by shooting that led to Monserrat's death.
Peterson's bond was originally set at $1 million, but court records show that this amount has been reduced to $750,000 as of Wednesday, May 17.
