Wires fall on garbage truck off Belmont Avenue in Liberty

First responders were called out early Tuesday when wires fell on a garbage truck making the morning rounds off Belmont Avenue in Liberty Township.
It happened just after 5 a.m. in a parking lot near Colonial Drive.
The driver wasn't injured but was concerned about getting out of the truck in case the wires were live power lines.
While waiting for a crew from Ohio Edison to arrive, police and township firefighters were on the scene to make sure the driver stayed safe.
When 21 News arrived, it appeared that people were climbing in and out of the cab.
A fallen utility pole could be seen leaning on the truck and a second pole was snapped across the street from the truck.
Colonial Drive is closed near the intersection until the wires can be removed.
