Four-day East Palestine Street Fair gets underway Wednesday

The East Palestine Street Fair begins its four-day run Wednesday.
Partnering with Norfolk Southern Railroad, the local chamber of commerce announced that amusement rides and attractions will be free of charge to fairgoers.
People will still have to pay for games and food.
The railroad, which has been trying to show goodwill to the community since the February 3rd derailment, is working with the chamber to put on the four-day event from Wednesday, May 24 through Sunday, May 27, 2023.
With a history going back to 1887, the main drag of the village will be filled with vendors, concessions, rides, and a stage with live music through Saturday night.
Street Fair hours:
- Wednesday, May 24, 2022, 5 to 10 pm
- Thursday, May 25, 2022, from 5 to 10 pm
- Friday, May 26, 2022, from 5 to 11 pm
- Saturday, May 27, 2922, 1 to 11 p.m.
In addition to local businesses and organizations offering rides, games, and food during the fair, the U.S. EPA will host a booth for visitors providing educational materials and activities for children.
