Food, entertainment venue coming to site of Boardman's former Georgetown banquet hall
According to a post on the Los Gallos Facebook page, the restaurant owners are working with Mocha House owner James Paxos to bring what they call a totally different concept in dining and entertainment to the former Georgetown on South Avenue.
After more than four decades in business, the Georgetown closed in 2020 and was purchased by Paxos for $181,500.
Los Gallos is owned by Israel Zambrano, who also operates the El Cowboy restaurant in Austintown.
The Facebook post says the new business, which will be called “The Room” will not be another Mexican restaurant or a “huge Mocha House.”
The owners promise a menu with a combination of entrees and live entertainment featuring local, regional, and national acts.
No opening date has been announced. However, the Facebook message says it is expected sometime this fall.
