Bond for a woman accused of shooting and killing a 13-year-old girl in Youngstown has been lowered during a court hearing Friday morning.

Bond for Shamara Green was originally set at $1 million, but during a preliminary hearing in the Youngstown Municipal Court, Judge Carla Baldwin lowered that bond to $700,000.

Green is accused of shooting and killing 13-year-old London Jones at what police described as an "irresponsible gathering of adults" on the 400 Block of Carroll Street on Friday, May 19.

Police say Green is a family friend of Jones' mother.

Upon further investigation, police do not believe Jones was the intended target of the shooting, with officers saying they believe they know who was.

Officers have not released who they believe the intended target was, but do tell us the shooting is believed to have stemmed from an argument over social media.
