Youngstown parolee accused of inside burglary job at Boardman fast food restaurant

BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - An ex-convict on parole found himself behind bars again after being accused of stealing from one of the two jobs he was working in Boardman.
When 44-year-old Charlie Carlisle III was arrested at a restaurant job on Boardman-Canfield Road Friday, Police say he had cash and marijuana in a bag.
Carlisle had been charged in connection with a burglary the morning before at his other place of employment; a Mcdonald's at Market Street and Route 224.
The McDonald’s manager identified Carlisle as the masked man seen on video opening a safe and removing money from cash register drawers early Thursday after Carlisle had finished his shift as a cook.
Police say the safe, which had not locked, was easily opened, missing the $1,200 the manager said had been inside. The video also showed the burglar taking a laptop from McDonald’s before returning to wipe fingerprints from the safe, cash drawers, and entrance door.
Carlisle was arraigned Tuesday on charges of safecracking, theft, and breaking and entering. A judge set his bond at $10,000.
When he was arrested, Carlisle was still on probation for a 2009 conviction on charges of burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property. A judge in Mahoning County sentenced Carlisle to more than ten years in prison for those crimes.
