A Youngstown man was shot early Wednesday morning on the 100 block of West Evergreen Ave

According to the incident report from the Youngstown Police Department, officers were called to the scene by the fire department, who were servicing a call nearby when they heard gunshots.

When officers arrived, they were directed to a residence where the victim, a 36-year-old man, was found with a gunshot wound to the pelvic region.

According to the report, Mitchell says he has "no idea who shot him," and that he was walking down W. Evergreen when he suffered the gunshot wound and ran into the home. 

Mitchell was transported to Mercy Medical Center where the report says he is in stable condition.
