The woman drove her son, an Ursuline student and his friend, 18-year-old Andru Davis, to school was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with complicity to inducing panic for driving Davis to Ursuline High School as part of an alleged prank in August of 2022.

Davis was arrested on charges of inducing panic last year after entering Ursuline and attempting to pose as a student, and told officers his goal was to last the entire day. When Davis was discovered, the school was placed on lockdown and officers called.

At that time, the report stated that Cardelein, now identified as Jessica Cardelein, 38, of Youngstown, had driven Davis and her son to the school.

Cardelein was arrested in Summit County and transported to the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office without incident.

Editor's note: The story has been corrected to note Cardelein as the mother of the Ursuline student in the story.
