YOUNGSTOWN - Detectives were called to a Westside apartment complex in Youngstown to investigate a shooting early Tuesday.

An ambulance was dispatched to a home on the 3100 block of Leo Avenue in the Westview Apartments shortly before 5 a.m.

There they found a woman who had been shot in the chest with a 22-caliber gun.

She was taken to Mercy Hospital.

21 News is working to learn about the circumstances surrounding the shooting and the victim's condition.
