Gas prices are up an average of 24 cents per gallon to $3.641 in Northeast Ohio this week, according to a release from AAA North Central.

According to the release, increased prices may be due to insufficient increases in supply to satisfy rising summer demand.

In Youngstown, gas has averaged $3.59 a gallon. In Niles, drivers spent on average 5 cents more than that, at $3.64 a gallon.
